Financial Aid

Thompson M-TEC, a service of the Ottawa Area Intermediate School District, providesindividuals with financial needs opportunities to gain valuable skills through career training.

We offer scholarships and financial aid for Ottawa County residents 18 and over.

Specific scholarships are also available for

Careerline Tech Center alumni living in Ferrysburg, Spring Lake or Grand Haven
Coast Guard active-duty members living in Grand Haven
Residents of Ferrysburg, Spring Lake or Grand Haven

OAISD Skilled Trades Scholarship

The OAISD Skilled Trades Scholarship will cover up to 100% of the tuition toward a skilled trades course and is available to individuals interested in pursuing skilled trades training at Thompson M-TEC. The monetary decision will be at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee.

OAISD Skilled Trades Scholarship Application

This scholarship cannot be applied to online courses. Applicants will be responsible for any remaining tuition not covered by the scholarship, plus the cost of any textbooks or materials.

David and Mary Race Scholarship

The David and Mary Race Scholarship is available to:

Careerline Tech Center alumni living in the Tri-Cities area of Ferrysburg, Grand Haven and Spring Lake.
U.S. Coast Guard active-duty members stationed in Grand Haven.
Current residents of the Tri-Cities area of Ferrysburg, Grand Haven and Spring Lake.
